Course Description
Pulmonary function testing (PFT’s) is one of the most widely prescribed diagnostic tools used by physicians to determine general and specific lung function. Part 1 in this series of courses discussed:
- Spirometry
- Lung Volumes
- Flow Volume Loops
But beyond basic spirometry, additional testing may be required to further evaluate lung function. This course is designed to assist the health care practitioner with a basic understanding of the indications, testing processes and clinical significance of residual Volume (RV), Functional Residual Capacity (FRC) and airway resistance determinations.
