Course Description
This course is designed to assist clinicians to recognize different types of seizures seen during the sleep study. The course reviews EEG activity associated with seizures, common treatment options, and the prevalence of occurrence of seizures. Important safety measures to keep your patient safe during a seizure will be discussed. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to describe the clinical representation of a common seizure classifications, differentiate EEG changes associated with different types of seizures, define known causes for seizures, understand the classifications for seizures, describe recommended process for documenting the clinical manifestations related with a seizure, and describe interventions to keep the patient safe during a seizure.
