The equipment is for repeated and long-term use, for those who are enduring illness and injury and the DME suppliers needs to be a Medicare-certified provider.
What are DME Compliance Requirements?
All DME organizations that are Medicare and/or Medicaid providers are required to become accredited by one of nationally recognized accreditors (e.g., Joint Commission, CHAP, ACHC, etc.). all those accreditors have specific educational requirements, including areas of compliance.
