Dr. Spencer will hold a position of Contributing Author with Sleepedu.org. His responsibilities will be primarily to author dental-sleep related courses. Dr. Spencer has a passion for bringing practicing sleep dentists and physicians together, creating a level of understanding and mutual respect between the two entities. His courses will discuss those relationships between dentists and physicians, as well as medical and technical aspects of sleep-related dentistry.
Additionally, Dr. Spencer will hold the position of Consultant with Everything Sleep Consulting. His responsibilities will again bring sleep dentists and physicians together toward improving patient care. He will serve to work with those existing dental and physician practices, as well and consult with practices wishing to begin sleep-related programs.
Dr. Spencer is the director of Dental Sleep Medicine for the Center for Sleep Apnea and TMJ, in Boise Idaho and Salt Lake City Utah. He has personally treated thousands of patients with sleep apnea and TMJ problems, and now focuses on helping dentists help their patients with such problems.
He is Past-President of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP), a Diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine and has a Masters in Craniofacial Pain from Tufts University. He taught head and neck anatomy at Boise State University and is adjunct faculty at the University of Utah School of Dental Medicine and runs an AADSM accredited Mastery Program there. Dr. Spencer has been invited to give lectures on TMD, Dental Sleep Medicine and head and neck anatomy throughout the United States at every major dental meeting, Canada, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Australia, Europe and India.
